At CORA, the focus of our practices is directed towards the rehabilitation of traumatically injured patients. As a result, we treat many patients that are represented by attorneys and have more comprehensive documentation requirements then the typical physical therapy patient. Unlike many physical therapy practices, we welcome patients that are represented by attorneys. We extend credit to patients under a protection letter from their attorney. We document our patient’s injuries so that the information is readily available for the physicians and attorney.

In Connecticut, we are under the direction of the medical provider. This means that the decision to extend treatment or terminate treatment may be beyond our direct control. With that caveat, we try to work closely with the referring physicians and attorneys to make sure that the care we provide is consistent with the injury dynamics and patient needs. In this way, we optimize our patients outcome and avoid issues of over-utilization and cost-containment.
